keep your feet on the ground when your head's in the clouds

hello and welcome to the malamiko inc. newsletter (volume 12). It has been a few months. How are you all doing?

it has been a fairly quiet summer for us, but i promise we are still keeping busy. We all took some time to travel and visit family. It unfortunately led us to turning down a bunch of great show offers, but we all needed some time to relax and refresh this summer after a busy (and incredibly stressful) winter and spring.

during our downtime, daisy joined a new band (something she wasn’t sure if she would ever do again), so stay tuned for more info on that in due time. Rhys has been deejaying, planning more tribute sets (including one later this month), and got cloud factory sound fully up and running in their new space. We even got to do use the studio to record some guest features on the new album.

speaking of………

we had our final mixing session for the new album last weekend! This record has been quite a journey (but then again, so was the last one), and we are sooooo excited to be nearing the end. A few close friends have gotten the chance to hear the rough mixes, and we got a lot positive feedback from everyone. I hope to have more updates soon, but we still have a handful of things to finish up before we have any concrete plans. We want to give this one some extra special treatment to make it all worth the wait ;)
