volume 3 (the subliminal verses)

it is once again time for the malamiko industrial complex newsletter(volume 3). we have officially migrated to buttondown to make sign-ups, unsubscribe, etc. easier for everyone.

first things first: tour is announced! the kickoff show with our besties another heaven will be may 2nd at cloudland followed by (big breath) may 5th in eau claire at the plus / the venue, may 6th in chicago at burlington, may 7th in the quad cities at [redacted], may 8th in champaign at exile, and may 9th in iowa city at trumpet blossom. if you live in one of these cities and want to help get the word out, that would be soooo helpful (let us know if you do and we’ll give you some free merch).

we started planning this tour before the start of the year and i just want to acknowledge how awful of an experience it was to try to plan a tour with dear friends while so many horrible events unfolded. it is hard enough to plan a tour on top of normal day-to-day (we all have full-time jobs and personal lives and whatnot), but all of that on top of, well…… [gestures at everything]. despite the struggles to put this together, we are excited to travel the midwest for a week, see some friends, and hopefully make new ones.

we have new material planned for release in summer – i wish i could say more but i have unfortunately been sworn to secrecy. i can’t wait to share the details in the coming months.
